As we approach fantasy drafts for all of our redraft leagues, drinkfive.com will again provide its annual preseason fantasy football draft rankings. Looking forward into the 2022 NFL season, who will impress and who will falter? Up and comers like Michael Pittman Jr. could provide more fantasy value season long than those all-stars that have been displaced, like Tyreek Hill. Opportunity for Javonte Williams to rise up in the ranks to be a top 10 RB could be stifled by the continued presence of Melvin Gordon. It's important to pay attention to what variables could affect prospective draft choices, and our regularly updated rankings reflect all current news and insights. Choose wisely!

As we ease into Week 1 of the 2022 NFL fantasy football season, reeling from the possible impact of the Bills' win over the Rams on Thursday Night Football, there are quite a few questionable and doubtful tags from notable players like George Kittle that you should be aware of. In addition to using these rankings as a guideline, I would highly recommend paying close attention to the weather forecast for games (those not in a dome, anyway!) from week to week. For example, the extreme inclement weather at the Bears game this morning could shift the entire game to a rushing battle of Montgomery vs. Mitchell, rather than exploring the receiving talents out there on each team. A resource that we would suggest using each Sunday before the games start is: http://www.nflweather.com/.

Even after so many notable injuries in Week 1 of the 2022 fantasy football season, we're still looking forward to what week 2 will bring. Right?! Of course. That's the name of the game. Quite a few waiver wire picks this week could be difference-makers, including RBs Jaylen Warren and Jeff Wilson Jr. We will start to see trends over the next few weeks that will shape the rankings going forward, but in the meantime it's smart to continue to play guys with limited risk - throwing in a whim or two as you see fit. Best of luck in Week 2, and remember not to do too much tweaking on Sunday mornings - that very rarely ends up with a positive result from my experience. :)
