This week, we tackle the topic of illegal file sharing - basically online piracy. We've both got an interesting perspective on this, having grown up when this was a booming underground hobby. We discuss how file sharing has changed with technology over the years, from BBS's to cd burners to bit torrent.
(Retrospectical Podcast Episode 08: Online Piracy - Is Illegal Filesharing Stealing?)
We also have a big discussion about how we view this all in terms of it being stealing. There's lots of points of view on this subject, and we try to dig into all parts of it. We also discuss legal alternatives, both ones for pay and for free.

Welcome to the TV Soup podcast, the home of drinkfive.com’s television review series. This episode continues our discussion on the Breaking Bad spin-off prequel series Better Call Saul starring Bob Odenkirk. The tenth and final episode of the season doesn't seem to wrap up much - it actually opens up some new story threads and makes us wish that we didn't have to wait in order to start talking about season two! Check out our full review of the episode.
TV Soup Podcast: Better Call Saul, "Marco" Review
Our plan is to review every episode of whatever series we are currently watching (unless they end up being too horrible for either of us to handle, in which case we have no problem panning the show and changing it up!) both on the podcast and also in more traditional, long-form articles. Please follow along with us and our journey into Better Call Saul and thus into the mind of Jimmy McGill / Saul Goodman.

This week's Retrospectical episode is all about Bitcoin. We started off discussing the roots and digital currency. We give you a good primer for how it works and what it is. Later on in the episode, we have a good discussion about how bitcoin can be used and our thoughts on the future of bitcoin. We're both excited to get our own bitcoin and find places in Chicago to spend it! If you have any suggestions, let us know.

Welcome to the TV Soup podcast, the home of drinkfive.com’s television review series. This episode continues our discussion on the Breaking Bad spin-off prequel series Better Call Saul starring Bob Odenkirk. The eighth episode of the season showed that all the hard work that Jimmy has been doing pays off. It's also an episode that leaves us with a classic Vince Gilligan spoiler, complete with the quick cut to the credits that was famous in Breaking Bad. Click below to play the episode, and check out my review of this episode here.

This week's retrospectical episode is all about bacon. We start all the way back to the beginning and talk about how bacon was first 'discovered' and used before it became a widespread global phenomenon. We also go in-depth about the different kinds of bacon out there, and how asking for some 'bacon' may net you different results depending on where you are in the world! Check out the full article here: http://www.drinkfive.com/general/item/221-the-history-passion-pursuit-of-bacon
(Retrospectical Podcast Episode 06: The History, Passion & Pursuit of Bacon)
Seth Zurer, co-founder of Baconfest Chicago joins us for a quick interview about the festivities at Baconfest this year - if you're in the Chicago area be sure not to miss it! We're crazy for bacon but everyone we introduce to Baconfest falls in love at first bite.
Update: Badass Candied Bacon. You're welcome.

We're back to fantasy football, baby! Tonight marks the 2015 return of fantasy football talk on the drinkfive network. We've got a lot of moves to catch up with, and we managed to stop off with nearly every team and at least talk about who they gained and who they lost. Since it was St Paddy's day, we also enjoyed some Irish Whiskey and toasted to drinkfive writer Troy Maples, happy birthday buddy!
Fantasy Football Podcast - March 17 - Around the NFL, 2015 Rosters!
We'll be back next week with another retrospectical episode. We'll be talking about all things bacon, and in two weeks we'll be discussing digital currencies (ya know, like bitcoin or dogecoin). We'll check back in on the fantasy football radar around the NFL draft and bring our rookie expert Shawn Foss (@shawn_foss) on to tell us who to look out for.

Welcome to the TV Soup podcast, the home of drinkfive.com’s television review series. This episode continues our discussion on the Breaking Bad spin-off prequel series Better Call Saul starring Bob Odenkirk. The seventh episode of the season returned to misadventures of one James M McGill, Esquire. We also were treated to my favorite montage of the season, which sparked some heated debate on the show. Click below to play the episode, and check out my review of this episode here.

This week's retrospectical episode features a discussion about internet security. We start with going over what companies collect from you online and why they do that. Much of this is mostly harmless - browser data, browsing habits & history - most of it is information that you're freely giving out anyways. We also talked about what they do with this data and some of the risks associated with it.
Next we dive into the issue of net neutrality. This has been a hot-button issue lately in Washington and around the country really. We talked about what it is, what the recent rulings have been and give our take on what's going on. Finally, we talked about Edward Snowden and all of the recent revelations from what he released concerning the NSA's "upstream" monitoring of nearly all electronic communications.
For more on this, check out our article: http://www.drinkfive.com/general/item/212-internet-privacy-net-neutrality-the-real-issues-for-regular-users

Welcome to the TV Soup podcast, the home of drinkfive.com’s television review series. This episode continues our discussion on the Breaking Bad spin-off prequel series Better Call Saul starring Bob Odenkirk. The sixth episode of the season was an awesome look back to the life of Mike Ehrmantraut. We've all been waiting on this moment, hoping that we would get lots of backstory on one of our favorite Breaking Bad characters, and this episode certainly delivered.
Our plan is to review every episode of whatever series we are currently watching (unless they end up being too horrible for either of us to handle, in which case we have no problem panning the show and changing it up!) both on the podcast and also in more traditional, long-form articles. Fantasy Football Podcast
The Fantasy Finish Line Podcast has been chugging along for a few years now, still operating with its original hosts - David Biggs and Jason Evans. This 45-60 minute weekly program airs leading up to and during the NFL regular season (when fantasy happens) with some special broadcasts throughout the year. Whether you need to dish on draft strategy before the season starts or just need some advice on who to pick up from the waiver wire, our fantasy football show will help you through the tough times and onto the trophy!
Retrospectical Podcast
The Universe is huge and we are small. Not much we can do about that. What we can do, however, is to try to make sense of all the things around us. Too many things are just taken for granted when instead we should be searching for deeper understanding and meaning. Or not. Either way, it is the goal of the Retrospectical Podcast to shed some light on topics that have more under the surface than you may be aware of. From the history and evolution of television to drones and alternative currencies, we'll explore a wide-range of topics and surely get off on some wacky tangents but ultimately be better off for it. That's the idea, anyway!
TV Soup Podcast
The hosts of the TV Soup Podcast, Jason Evans and David Biggs, have both long been immersed in media and technology but their hopeless addiction to modern television series has been a somewhat recent development. With the advent of shows like Dexter, Breaking Bad, Sherlock and Game of Thrones, television has grown up quickly to the point where we would now rather be blowing through TV series than going out to a movie in most cases! We'll be jumping from one series to another, doing reviews and providing weekly commentary along the way on this 30-minute weekly broadcast.
